SS4 . Special Series on Trauma Response with Nicole Porter Davis | Creative Coping Skills
The current pandemic is creating a global scale traumatic event peppered with myriad micro traumas. It is impacting everyone in varying degrees. For those able to manage and integrate their emotional experiences, they may come out on the other end without any negative psychological effects from the experience. While others may surface experiencing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. This may be especially true in areas of the country and world experiencing the highest number of illnesses and within the community of medical professionals on the front lines caring for them.
Given the circumstances, Nicole Porter Davis and I thought it may be helpful to create this series on large scale trauma response. In this episode, we discuss the importance of outreach for both the therapist and the clients being served. Healing happens in connection. We can all create connection through outreach.
