Geek History Lesson

This show has been a lifesaver.. I am a “mail escort” (mailman) and I am in my truck and walking 6hrs a day.. and I listen to you while I’m out.. I started from ep.1 and now I’ve caught up completely in just a few months.. currently on my 2nd pass.. I also come home and share all the info I’ve learned with my son who is as into comics as I am.. he’s currently reading the “the walking dead” and “Bleach” manga.. There are a few ideas tho.. SQUIRREL GIRL.. list of Weapon X characters.. And the impact of gender/race changes ie. Miles morales, Robbie Reyes, Riri Williams etc.. (it was shown negatively initially but has produced some of my favorite characters)..

Been listening to this podcast for years, I absolutely love how in depth Jason and Ashley get with their episodes, even got me excited for a few projects I either had no idea about or didn’t even really care for until I listened to their podcast about it. Plus the top 5 episodes and the ones that break away from their regular formula are always a treat as well. I’ve recommend this podcast more times than k can count to friends and family. Love what you guys do, I’ll always be a listener 🤌🏽

Sadly, I’ve had to lower this score from 5 stars to 3 because of the insane amount of ads. It seems like every few minutes there’s a new ad and in some cases it will literally cut off the podcast mid sentence and ruin the flow of the conversation. This podcast has way more ads than any other one I’ve ever listened to and it’s sad, because the content is still outstanding.

This is a must listen if you're trying to get up to speed on a Geeky topic before you go see the movie/TV show/Streamer, gonna buy the book or go the the (insert theme) cocktail party. I know I'm 12 too late to ask but any chance of some Judge Dredd or any other 2000A.D. characters. 5 star review you'll say anything? Looking forward to hear you read the opening.
