I am 64 years old. I have watched General Hospital since I can remember one of the reasons why I started watching General Hospital as I was caring for my 90-year-old father-in-law who had dimension other health province, and when I would go in to wake him up from his afternoon nap he always wanted to start with the soaps on ABC at 1 o’clock with one life to live and carry through around 2 o’clock when I brought him his snack general Hospital was on, and I could tell whether or not, he was having a good day because he could follow the character lines if he asked me who is that and it was sunny current I knew that OK it’s gonna be one of those kind of nights podcast has been inspirational for me. State of mind because you bring to that neural divergency of other human beings and spread the word about victimization of people who aren’t different like other people I’ve been a registered nurse for 35 years. I was a trauma specialist and I worked in the only level one trauma center on the south side of Chicago every day I lived my traumas over and over because I thought I would be really good at relating to people that had traumas. I just listened to your show with Tyler Christopher, who is from Joliet, Illinois, right where my hood was, I was beaten and robbed in Chicago. I now reside in South Carolina. I’m still working as a registered nurse. I’ve gone on to get my masters degree and I’m really advocating for trauma informed care and decreasing the stigma mental illness. I would love to be a guest on your show sometime as a registered nurse and just tell you from a healthcare perspective, the bias and the insinuation surrounding people that come in for surgery and they’re like on meds and the reactions to that because as much as they claim that registered nurses are supposed to be compassionate and empathetic you should hear the conversations so I just wanted to respond today especially after listening to Tyler Christopher, I listen to almost all of them, but that when I listen to again today thank you so much for this podcast Maurice I truly appreciate your transparency
Comfort and humor

The only way to get through life is to comfort others and have a sense of humor. Maurice does this with his superb guests and his ongoing story who share their suffering and how they handle it and they prevail. My mentor in college had forgotten the French resistance, having seen her family taken away and never seen again and when I shared at 19 my ongoing angst and futility which we now realize as anxiety and depression, she said to me that every person feels that way. and the key is maybe not to think of living for happiness because happiness is rare moments and maybe live for purpose instead that changed my life and gave me a reason to live and go on when the clouds come. Excellent show Maurice.

I’m a big fan of GH and Y&R and enjoyed your interviews with all your guests especially Steve Laura and Eric …I also learned a lot about mental health from you Maurice and I hope people who are suffering with this take your advise and seek help from family friends and professionals…I have a better understanding about bipolar and we probably all have experienced it one way or another without knowing…Thank you for all you do.
Keep it coming!

As someone who grew up watching GH, I love this show and all the guests you have on! As someone who has mental health issues myself- I love these conversations and I appreciate the vulnerability people are willing to share here; it means so much! As a viewer- It’s easy to get lost in the characters lives that we often don’t think about you as a person with your own personal ups and downs; loss, struggles, etc. We need to hear more of this from people we see on television when the world of social media can be so superficial. Thank you!!! 🙏
