Black Mountain Radio

Black Mountains first radio show is a testament to how good all their content is. I loved hearing Baca say nothing but truth, “writers are busy trying to please editors who are 90% white. We have to teach our kids to win the approval of their own heart. You don’t need some editor in New York to give you approval, you know you lived your life right.” Excited to hear what other content Black Mountain has to put out.

A beautiful and well-crafted podcast that explores sense of place. And the first episode has such a cool mix of voices and persepectives. Highly reccomended !

This is the kind of radio that Las Vegas deserves: Thoughtful narration set against lush audio, challenging questions (I can’t stop thinking about Soni’s piece on Native land), & stories that tease out new ways of looking at our city. Bravo!
