As a group of people obsessed by storytelling, it's no surprise that for some time we’ve been fascinated by how the UK’s £5bn fitness industry has inspired Britons to get off their sofas and invest both their time and money into achieving the associated physical and mental wellbeing benefits.
In our next episode we speak to Carola Jain, the Chief Marketing Officer of Spartan Race, a global fitness brand which offers gruelling obstacle race courses in 48 countries around the world that has a mission to change the lives of 100 million people. In this episode we wanted to explore storytelling from different perspectives in the games industry - the people that make games, make the technology and those who write about the games industry. We wanted to uncover how narrative in gaming has developed and how it allows stories to be told in a uniquely personal way. How stories in gaming connect people, literally and metaphorically. How technology is changing the medium, especially on the eve of the next generation of games consoles. Finally, we wanted to talk about how in the era of Covid-19, we have turned to games in unprecedented numbers to provide escapism and connection and how the gaming industry has continued to operate and thrive.

We speak with acclaimed Getty Photographer Tristan Fewings about his work and his storytelling. Way to Blue has worked with Tristan on many shoots and as a team we regularly describe his work as extraordinary and he rarely fails to capture something special in any moment and turn it into stunning art. But as he says, his best pictures “are the ones that pose questions, not immediately answer them”. He’s famed for his behind the scenes fashion and film festival work where he captures the shots that others tend not to get.
