I'm Anne Hildebrand and I move around a lot. In the course of doing so, I have a lot of interesting conversations with people I probably would never encounter otherwise. These people are travelers, they are people who've lived in one place their whole lives, they're people who have made one big leap of faith that changed their lives...or not.     19. Belinda sets dingo traps

    Belinda lives on a large station in the Australian outback. She runs sheep and cattle, but sometimes the livestock are attacked by wild dingoes. so she has to set dingo traps. I went with her one afternoon to set the traps and to learn about how it's done. Come along with me for a pretty wild ride.

    18. Elle (and little Stu)

    Elle came to Quilpie a few years ago on a holiday, fell in love and stayed. Since then she's become part of the community and so has little Stu who joins us for our conversation. Elle gives us a perspective on her life here in town as well as what it was like for her to travel in Canada and the States.     17. Kerri Vagg

    Kerri Vagg was born and bred in Outback Queensland. Before, she worked the land physically as a shearer and now she works it running a successful earthmoving business.     16. Amy Kliese

    Amy is a recent transplant to Quilpie- like me! But unlike me, she's an Aussie, raised on a farm and grown on horses. While the Outback is in her backyard, it's still quite a change from coastal life, offering a unique perspective from two sides of Australia.     15. Susan (aka Rewind)

    When I first met Susan, I knew her as Rewind because we met on the PCT (I'm Kimchi, by the way). She, like many, left a job to hike but that wasn't the first big career move she's made. From the Peace Corps in Ghana to the US public education system to a new life in the sciences, Rewind has lived a few lives. I met up with her during her "WWOOFing" life Down Under and we both experienced the travel roller coaster together. I find it interesting and maybe you will, too!
