I'm Anne Hildebrand and I move around a lot. In the course of doing so, I have a lot of interesting conversations with people I probably would never encounter otherwise. These people are travelers, they are people who've lived in one place their whole lives, they're people who have made one big leap of faith that changed their lives...or not. In short: they are all kinds of people. What connects them is that I love our conversations. Maybe you will too.

Belinda lives on a large station in the Australian outback. She runs sheep and cattle, but sometimes the livestock are attacked by wild dingoes. so she has to set dingo traps. 18. Elle (and little Stu)

Elle came to Quilpie a few years ago on a holiday, fell in love and stayed. Since then she's become part of the community and so has little Stu who joins us for our conversation. Elle gives us a perspective on her life here in town as well as what it was like for her to travel in Canada and the States. In our conversation, Elle tells us about her life path and we get to hear a lot from a three-year-old who has yet to figure out what to do with his life. what do you think about our conversation, about kids, or about hospitals? 17. Kerri Vagg

Kerri Vagg was born and bred in Outback Queensland. Before, she worked the land physically as a shearer and now she works it running a successful earthmoving business. She also happens to employ a nanny - yours truly! I'm so grateful to her and her family for having me and for taking me to Burke and Wills country... which I also talk about in this episode. Email me your thoughts at hildeb.anne@gmail.com and check out the Facebook page Stories with Legs for photos of the people I talk to.

    16. Amy Kliese

    16. Amy Kliese

Amy is a recent transplant to Quilpie- like me! But unlike me, she's an Aussie, raised on a farm and grown on horses. While the Outback is in her backyard, it's still quite a change from coastal life, offering a unique perspective from two sides of Australia. Not only do we share our current location, but we get to share our recent observations of it. I'd love to hear your observations and memory connections! Send 'em my way after listening by writing me at hildeb.anne@gmail.com

    15. Susan (aka Rewind)

When I first met Susan, I knew her as Rewind because we met on the PCT (I'm Kimchi, by the way). She, like many, left a job to hike but that wasn't the first big career move she's made. From the Peace Corps in Ghana to the US public education system to a new life in the sciences, Rewind has lived a few lives. I met up with her during her "WWOOFing" life Down Under and we both experienced the travel roller coaster together. I find it interesting and maybe you will, too! 14. Alex and Julia

Renee calls me an experience junkie. Maybe a nicer term is "experience tourist," which is how Alex puts it in my conversation with her and Julia. Welcome to the world of the crazy, passionate and curious. It's where I love hanging out and maybe you will too! What experience are you curious about? What experience are you passionate about? Tell me at hildeb.anne@gmail.com !
