Responding with empathy and compassion.
Stopping to reflect on the source of my irritation in realtime, I share a a few updates (which I'll share more about at some point) and share openly about choosing empathy and compassion. Though I don't always stop to reflect and change course in realtime, it's something I aim for most of the time. We're all human right?

Pressing pause.
I am taking my own advice, and am honoring where I am at the moment. I am pausing on creating content for Storm & Sky to focus my time and energy on the important and lifelong work I have been charged with- to increase my awareness and knowledge around anti-racism, and to adjust my personal and parenting practices to reflect, model and live that value accordingly. I do this in support of, in service of, and in community with our Black men, women and children.
