Brace up, neighbors — and charge into the future with fortitude, with the Strand On The Air “NO FEAR” Special! Join your House Manager Liz McLeod, announcer Ryan Jackson, and the Strand Family Players for a comic excursion into the very pit of your personal anxieties, as All Things Rescinded meets the man who fears everything, gets to know one particular creepy-crawly, and shows you how to conquer your fear thru aggressive acclimatization. And down in Abysmal Point, the terror reaches a fever pitch as Mrs. Grunden and the gang face up to the bone-chilling approach of local elections! There’s new music from Brittany Parker and another guest appearance by popular local jam band BETTER LATE! Conquer your fears and stride bravely into whatever the future may bring, with the Strand on The Air, written and directed by Liz McLeod, and presented by the Strand Theatre.

    Free Parking Special

    Never mind the permits or the loose change! Liz McLeod and the Strand Family Players will pull up to the curb with a carload of laughs as the intrepid reporters of All Things Rescinded explore the bold new innovation of perpendicular parking, and consider how even the most youthful entrepreneur can turn the parking situation to their advantage with a little hard work. And down in Abysmal Point, long-boiling community tensions threaten to froth over the top when Greta Crummet begins a one woman crusade to transform the local Select Board. Add in music by Brittany Parker and special guests from Midcoast Music Academy and you’ll forget all about feeding the meter!     Pack up your picnic basket, your sunblock, and your big floppy hat and head straight for home, as the Strand On The Air presents its "Summer Staycation Edition!" Join Liz McLeod and the Strand Family Players for laughs in Abysmal Point, as Mrs. Grunden and the gang prepare for the world premiere of Glittering Greta Crummet’s Clam Dance, and the intrepid journalists of All Things Rescinded explore the burgeoning phenomenon of summer camps for grownups. There’ll be new tunes from Brittany Parker and summertime musical guests Patty Jackson and Rusty Blake, and a dramatic recitation by noted orator Dr. Ryan Jackson. Strand On the Air is a presentation of the Strand Theatre in downtown Rockland, and is written and directed by House Manager Liz McLeod.

The intrepid investigators of All Things Rescinded explore the springtime menace of rampaging squirrels, and speak with a public intellectual who promises that Everything Is Going To Turn Out All Right. And down in Abysmal Point, Mrs. Grunden’s world is shaken to its very roots when an ambitious competitor threatens to give her a run for her clamshells. Tune in WRFR 93.3 for new laughs from Liz McLeod and the Strand Family Players, new tunes from Brittany Parker, new poetry from Professor Dan Bookham and special musical performances from rising young talent courtesy of the Midcoast Music Academy Winter Recital. All Things Rescinded will introduce you to the trials and travails of a Leap Year Baby and to exciting new advances in the manufacture of year round snow -- and down in Abysmal Point, Mrs. Grunden and Gertie run into plenty of grief with their bold new home-delivery business "Hello Clams!"

Join Liz McLeod and the Strand Family Players, Brittany Parker, and anouncer Dan Bookham for an hour of new laughs and new tunes as All Things Rescinded brings you its foolproof predictions of what absolutely NOT to expect in 2024, and an exclusive interview with a genuine time traveler from 2124 who will give you hints of wonders and marvels yet to come. And down in Abysmal Point, Mrs. Grunden's latest future dream could put clams right in anyone's mailbox. Joining in the fun will be traditional holiday musical guests Patty Jackson and Rusty Blake with their old-time harmonies.
