Creating eco-minimalist, non-toxic homes (without the extra work). Although minimalism has experienced a rebirth in recent years, the "less is more" movement has been around for centuries. Yet today's minimalist influencers have resurrected minimalism with a decidedly consumerist spin, as modern minimalism is nearly synonymous with decluttering. While there's a lot of chatter about tidying, it's radio silence and crickets when it comes to sustainability. The result? Aspiring minimalists find themselves on an endless hamster wheel of buying, decluttering, buying more, and purging again. Overemphasizing decluttering and underemphasizing the reasons why we overbuy in the first place is thoroughly inconsistent with slow living as a movement; consumption without intention is terrible for the planet, too. Your host, Stephanie Seferian, is a stay-at-home/podcast-from-home mom and author who believes that minimalism, eco-friendliness, and non-toxic living are intrinsically intertwined. She's here to explore the topics of conscious consumerism, sustainability, and environmentally-friendly parenting practices with like-minded women; she's here, too, to show you how to curate eco-friendly, decluttered homes (without the extra work).

Thank you! Great podcast today. Who knew we could accomplish so much just from not buying a pair of new jeans? I’ve been buying and enjoying second hand clothes since my children were preschoolers and at 75, still do. I receive constant compliments because the clothes are well made and often display a special or unique feature. And the guest is correct. Wear what looks good on YOU and makes you feel comfortable. Thanks again! Elizabeth from Fletcher NC

Thank you for saying the real things, helping us realize our intent and goals and saying the things that no one wants to say but that we need to hear!!!!
Transgenerational Impacts

Stephanie thank you so much for this interview with Ari Wallach and giving us practical steps to how we can begin to implement the long path mindset! As a young mama of three, it was such an incredible reminder to me that the first way to adopt this mindset is by being engaged! It is also an encouragement to continue limiting consumption and increasing creativity with my little ones!! This topic can be applied in so many different realms and I am so grateful for the diversity! (Pause: between the action and the reaction, who are we and why are we here?)

I’ve been listening to this podcast for over four years and absolutely love it. Stephanie is down to earth, but also down to business without a lot of irrelevant chitchat. Her content is well researched, the format is very professional and the subject matter current and relevant.
