'Swede As - The Podcast' a light-hearted take on all the wonderful quirks that come with moving to Sweden, the fun differences between the two countries and what life is like living closer to the North Pole.
Whether you're Swedish or an expat surviving in Sverige, this funny Swedish podcast is bound to give you a little giggle. Our love for Sweden is as big as Sweden's love for pickled herring. Don't forget to remove your shoes at the door before listening!!

It's our final episode of 2020!!! We thought we'd take the year out in 'Swede As' style and chat all things Christmas - as well as share some surprising news about Sheona's immigration saga (let's hope she is still allowed in Sweden next season!)
We compare Christmas carols, real trees vs plastic, admire Sheona's first pepparkakshus and support Brian through his struggles with tjugondag knut. We also welcome a first-time, special guest to the show to teach us about Gävle's big, burning goat.

Brian educates us on Swedish country music, called dansbandsmusik. We explore Swedish classic songs that everyone (expat or Swede) should acquaint themselves with. And we present one of Sweden's most beloved TV shows "Så mycket bättre".

Season 2 - Episode 10: Friggebod, Skånska, a bicycle accident and the earth's rotation
In our tenth episode of season two Brian, Tania and Sheona discuss Swedish properties, the dialect in the southern part of Sweden - known as Skånska - Sheona witnesses a bicycle accident and attempts to help, Brian warns the girls about the upcoming Autumn-depression and also schools the girls on the rotation of the earth. We also discuss how we felt when we first moved to Sweden - loosely dubbing it the '3 months of shock' period and how it affected our ability to make friends.

Great look at Sweden for expats!
I absolutely love this show- it’s so great to hear from expats in Sweden about what it’s like to live there - the differences and the similarities! - and also to have a native Swede there to share his experience and knowledge as well as just some general context to how things work in Sweden.
Beyond just being informative, the show is also funny! The hosts all have a great chemistry - they each get a fair share of speaking time and they’re all funny in their own right, but they play off of each other really well. I laugh AND learn something new from every episode!
Stick to your countries.
Why must Swedes always feel so sorry they aren't American? A clear example everyone compares to Americans even if they have nothing to do with the USA.
