My favorite homebirth podcast!

I love the midwife perspective, all of their technical explanations, and myth busting. Charlie and Sarah are funny and so easy to listen to, I’ve listened to all of their episodes! It’s a nice mix of birth stories told by their clients and education. Keep them coming ladies!
Totally worth listening to

Listening to this podcast made me feel a lot more knowledgeable on things I had no idea about as a first time mom. Before deciding to go into the care of Hearth & Home, I listened to a few of their podcasts. It helped make my decision a no brainer when I heard how funny, educated and personable they were. Before even my first prenatal with them I felt like I already knew them. Most of my questions were answered before I ever had to ask them anything due to listening to their podcast. I can’t recommend enough!
Good information, but “inclusive” language is very annoying.

Like the title says, this podcast has good information, and the hosts are pleasant to listen to, but the “inclusive” language is so irritating. We are *women*. Only women have a uterus, can give birth, and can breastfeed. We aren’t “birthing people”. It sounds so removed and dystopian to call us that.
Give it a listen if you like dehumanizing language.

If you like being referred to as a “birthing person” then by all means give them a listen. But after about the 5th time I couldn’t take it and shut it off. What a ridiculous thing to say as a midwife. We are WOMEN. Our bodies are amazing and men cannot experience the things we can experience. Stop stripping womanhood down and using offensive language to try to be “inclusive”. What a gross way to talk about women and birth.
