Legendary Chicago political reporter Bill Cameron is the producer and host of “Take 1 with Bill Cameron” a weekly interview program and podcast. Cameron retired from full-time reporting in August 2021 after more than a half century of covering Chicago politics.  “Take 1 with Bill Cameron” will present unedited interviews with Chicago newsmakers and discussions about breaking local news.

    This week, Bill is joined by Chicago Tribune investigative reporter Joe Mahr. You've heard of voter suppression but Joe wrote all about candidate suppression. What is candidate suppression? And find out how it's harder to get on the ballot in Illinois than it is in other states.
