    EP 75: Doug McKain, Dodgers Nation

    We have Dodgers Nations very own Doug McKain on the podcast today! Doug is a lifelong Dodger fan and has done an incredible job covering the Dodgers for years. We couldn't be more excited to talk Dodgers with him. Not only does Doug tell us all his thoughts on the Dodgers season so far, but he shares amazing behind the scenes stories, his interactions and conversations with the players including Tanner Scott, Austin Barnes, Clayton Kershaw and which player got extremely heated with him in the clubhouse. We got deep into stats with Doug including Mookie's incredible turnaround, how he believes this team will find their spark and his nightmare World Series situation which scared us so much that we had to tell him to stop! We loved getting to know Doug more in this episode. He shared how he got into the Dodgers and why he loves baseball. He filled us in on what a day in his life looks like, and what it's been like covering the Dodgers for so many years - and some of the pushback he's received. Doug is giving us all the inside scoop in this episode so you'll just have to listen to find out!!

    EP 74: Dodgers Down & MLB Drama: Send Soup & Wins

    Melissa and Jaclyn are recording from home today because Melissa is sick just like our team, apparently. Or are we assuming they are sick because that's how they are playing? Regardless, the girls delay talking about their losing team and chat about some other things first, like what they did over the weekend and celebrating Melissa's birthday the night before. The girls share about going to Saturday night's game against the Diamondbacks, meeting past fan episode guests Neil and Amy in person, sitting with new podcast listeners Justin and Jerry, and a new young baseball fan Jaclyn befriends. Our team is playing cold and we are letting out all our frustrations. Is last season starting to affect this season? Are our players tired? Are they too banged up? We ask each other and try and figure out why our Dodgers have been so inconsistent! Don't worry, we still are staying positive for things to turn around. You got this, boys!!

    EP 73: Heckling Backfires: Shohei Sparks LA Back to #1

    Boy are we happy to be back in the number one spot! Our pitchers are coming back, our players are returning healthy and we are starting to see the team we knew we could be coming into this season! After an unfortunate series loss to the Padres, a heckler ignited Shohei and the Dodgers dugout to a game 3 win and a continued winning streak to become the first team this season to sweep the Reds, and an official season sweep of the Padres. And yes, we are okay saying it's a rivalry. It's a rivalry full of attitude and egos from a team who hasn't won before against the reigning World Series Champs - and yes, we get into all of it, including our thoughts on the Instagram live we did with two girls with a Padres podcast.Once we cooled down from talking about the Padres, we highlight Kershaw's amazing month of August, Sheehan's best outing yet, Mookie's defense and offense clicking, all while trying to understand how slumps happen. Will we ever truly know what goes into a slump? We try and make sense of the ups and downs that is baseball all while hoping our team maintains the number one spot!Melissa asks the team if they would be first pitch swingers and the girls give their players of the week.     EP 72: Dodgers Sweep, Kershaw Shines & Kiké's Mustache Lives On

    We are full of giggles today, and maybe still feeling the wine from the night before at Jaime Jarrin's annual foundation event at Dodger Stadium. So before we get into Dodger talk, we tell you all about Wine Night at the Ravine and the incredible work the Jaime and Blanca Jarrin Foundation is doing. The girls talk about the event at Legends' Attic last week where they met Will Smith - and laugh about what Melissa muttered out when he walked by. And as they tried to take on the confidence he embodied being interviewed about the upcoming Padres series, after a tough losing streak for our team - Will was right and we swept the Padres! We share all our thoughts about Kershaw's winning energy and performance, Mookie's come back, Will Smith's incredible arm and much more. The girls discuss the talk surrounding a possible MLB expansion and realignment, what uniforms are "fitting" on certain players, Kiké's mustache, Tommy Pham's outburst, and how much we adore Logan Webb's grandmothers, and our own, of course. Another week and we're checking the standings after every game - let's go Dodgers!

    EP 71: Jerry Hairston Jr.

    We are so excited to have Jerry Hairston Jr. on the podcast today! Jerry comes from the biggest MLB family and played 16 seasons himself for 9 different teams. He was on the 2009 World Series winning Yankees and ended his career with our Dodgers. You can now see him as an analyst for the Dodgers pre and post game shows. We asked Jerry all about growing up in the MLB, what it was like playing with and against Kershaw and now watching him hit milestone moments. We asked about taking BP off Tyler Glasnow, . We could have talked to Jerry all day, and truly loved hearing his stories, encouragement and thoughts about our team right now.But before we get to our interview with Jerry, we had to talk about the current state of our team. Melissa and Jaclyn discuss the Dodgers losing streak, the series against the Blue Jays and Angels, Shohei pitching against his former team, Mookie's comeback and what they think the Dodgers need to start playing better. They get into all their thoughts surrounding the upcoming Padres series and how they feel being tied for first in the NL West. Because it seems like our team is finding ways to lose, the girls had a hard time deciding their players of the week so tune in to see who they chose!

    EP 70: Noel Sanchez of Dodgers Nation

    Today we talk Dodger baseball with one of our favorite Dodgers social media producers, Noel Sanchez. Noel is born and raised in LA and grew up loving the Dodgers and Lakers. He started his page @noisebynoel covering all of LA sports during college and is now one of the faces of Dodgers Nation, one of the biggest media companies focusing on the Dodgers. Noel shared with us how working at Chick-fil-A lead to his job at Dodgers Nation and took us inside the day to day operations there. We talk all about where and how we met, how amazing this Dodger community is, and how we sometimes have to remind ourselves to watch the game just as Dodger fans. Noel shared all his thoughts on our current team, his favorite Dodger team from years past, favorite players and why he knows Mookie Betts will turn his season around. We couldn't have loved chatting with Noel more and appreciate all his support behind our podcast. His heart, talent, and passion comes through in all he does.     EP 69: Dodgers Finding their Groove & A Red Sox Crossover

    Well, it's way more fun recording after two wins than the losing streak we've been on. Our team is getting back on track, Will Smith is on fire, Freddie Freeman is heating up, the HOF ceremony happened, and we know it's only a matter of time until the team starts clicking - and as always, we share all our thoughts. We thought it would be fun this week as we get into the Red Sox series to bring on a friend who has a Red Sox podcast. Meet Bennett Weinschenk who started and hosts Not From Boston with his friend, Harry. Bennett reached out to Melissa last season for some podcast advice and the crossover episode they chatted about is here! We talk to Bennett about his experience at Game 3 of the series at Fenway, the Red Sox uniforms, what he thought about the Dodger takeover, and how his podcast is going so far. Since there is so much crossover between our teams, Adam had a little game for us all to play. After we chat with Bennett, we get into the Reds series. We loved seeing former Dodger Gavin Lux and introduce a new player, Alex Freeland. Melissa gives an injury update, Jaclyn thinks Freddie Freeman played for the Red Sox, and Adam is just sitting back eating his Trail Mix. Hope you enjoy this episode!     EP 68: Beat up, Swept, but Still Running the West

    We are back from the all star break and the fire we thought our team would have is not there yet, and the girls get into all of it. With all the ups and downs, there is always a way to find some good through it all and that is seeing Shohei Ohtani pitch and hit a home run for the first time in a Dodger uniform. Melissa and Jaclyn share all their thoughts on the Dodgers growing IL list, the team not clicking, and the frustrating losses. They circle back to Kershaw's 3K strikeouts to get them in a good mood and rave about Will Smith and Andy Pages. The girls share their experience touring the new Ontario Sports Empire Complex and how incredible the minor league stadium is going to be which will open in April of 2026. Adam has a lot to say about it so they get into a debate about whether a state of the art minor league stadium is good or bad for players coming up. Melissa shares her weekly roundup of what's going on with other teams and fun facts she learned on the broadcast to tell Jaclyn while she was at the game. On the other hand, Jaclyn tells Melissa about what it was like being at Dodger Stadium listening to the crowd boo Carlos Correa. They are determined to be back next week on a winning streak so let's see what our team can do. Let's go Dodgers!
