Thank you for bringing more compassion to the world!

Jeff and Anthony, thank you for bringing more understanding and compassion to the world!

These beautiful LGBTQIA+ narratives from so many unique individuals establish empathy and help to create more understanding in the listener, and, as a result, allow compassion to really bloom in us.

Jeff and Anthony have a warm and comfortable, sitting-on-the-deck-drinking-wine kind of feel to their conversations…as if you and the guest are both in the room with them (although I assume they are mostly zooming the convos!). Good laughs and deep discussions are the norm. I appreciate the thoughtful questions that they put to their guests as it often leads the conversation into a more introspective discourse about the person’s life, choices and feelings. The hosts do that skillfully, while still letting the guest tell their own story. They are respectful of the person and their journey, never making assumptions about them, allowing the narrative to unfold with the guest (not always easy to do…many other interviewers are terrible at letting this happen). They help to bring out the common humanity in the stories shared.

I have only listened to 5 episodes so far (and not in any particular order), but each one is unique and beautiful. And while there is certainly some sadness and struggles (as all truly great journeys have), they don’t dwell on that and instead focus on the strength and growth of the individual, letting them share the success, joy and happiness that they have achieved. We need more stories of inspiration and hope like the ones Jeff and Anthony share on Talk Out Loud.
