Surfaces for the Possible

I have walked the roads around Dharamsala (the Dalai Lama’s exile residence) a lot. The roads can be uneven because of monsoon rains—and steep. Speeding taxis can brush your body. I’m always stopping to catch my breath. But the Tibetans elders in colorful and dignified dress, bright thread woven in their hair, many from the generation that built these roads—I’ve noticed that they navigate the same surfaces quite easily Very interesting podcast with Khando Langri

Homebase for an Anthropologist to assist his trek as an Other

I am NOT an Anthropologist but I birthed one. I thoroughly enjoyed the thought provoking podcast entitled The Other. I found it helpful when Alejandra or the other host broke in & defined a Anthropological phrase or explained the guest’s reference to an anthropology theorist/academic. The 4 guests spoke so fluently, intelligently and so understandably that I did NOT feel like an Other just eavesdropping!
