Shiny Things
I went back through some old notes and quotes that I have taken down and saved over the
years. So I am sharing about how the “shiny things in life lower our defenses and raise our
defensiveness.” Basically, you will find yourself much more petty sensitive and less able to
hear constructive observations. Did ya notice I didn’t say the word criticism.
The Power of Appeal is the path that has and follows strong emotional appeal. It’s not bad or
wrong; it’s just not enough. If you are distracted by what is on your path; you surely will be
distracted from where the path is taking

Dr. Nelly and Tina on Cultivating Compassion & Flexible Regulation During this New "Normal"
Psychologist Dr. Nelly discusses how to cope during this time of Covid-19. She really stresses the idea of flexibility and being less rigid. She explains how we should think more like scientist getting real facts while reminding us to cultivate safe practices, and recognizing and being aware of what others are going through. And of course, she emphasizes having compassion for others and especially for yourself during these times. What a wonderful sit down with this guest! Listen and enjoy her words and understand why I say she's like "gentle knowledge" that soothes the soul.

Wow!
I’m behind since my normal schedule is not normal but have been wanting to catch up. Just listened to the first episode of Shauns journey and wow! Love the insightful things Tina has to say about adoption and people wanting to Find their birth parents. I have no experience with this and it was great to hear from the perspective of people who are affected by this. I love how it was pointed out that is doesn’t mean their adoptive parents weren’t enough it’s about finding out a complete picture of who you are.
She’s Authentic and so vulnerable
This podcast is so good! Tina has long talks and short talks to choose from. Wish she had a You Tube channel so we could see her too. I’m a subscriber! When will you have a call in?
