Imagine a world with no sound, only able to experience the world with your eyes, touch, smell and taste - not able to hear conversation, or the sea, or traffic, or music. Tasha Ghouri was born deaf, and was non-verbal until she was five-years-old, when she got a cochlear implant. Karan talks with her about her journey, life experiences - and all the positives that also come with being deaf.

Tasha was the first ever deaf person to go on reality TV show, Love Island, where she made it to the final last year. She's a model, dancer and podcaster and since the show, has been working to bring awareness of the deaf community to the mainstream.

One in six people are deaf in the UK, and if you're not born deaf, it doesn't mean you won't ever be deaf, as Karan explains in this episode, there are so many causes of deafness.

Karan also answers your health and science questions in Crowd Science.
