The Budding Report

On this week’s episode of The Budding Report, we are joined by Nick Warrender & Nathaniel Gurien. The guests join our hosts Charles Horton, Christian Shaw, MD, PhD, Jessica Chandler & Denise Mahaffey and as we discuss Four More States Could Still Legalize Marijuana This Year After New Mexico, New York And Virginia.

Nicholas Warrender started Lifted Made with just $900 out of his parent's warehouse manufacturing and distributing premium e-liquid in the space about 7 years ago. He quickly grew that with his expertise in design and marketing and increased his production/executive staff to move into a 4000 sq/ft facility in Zion, Illinois. Pivoting to CBD a few years ago and hand sanitizer to get through the pandemic, Warrender has always been able to adapt and stay ahead of the curve—he had been instrumenting R&D on Delta-8 months prior to our first-to-market launch in July of 2020. He has recently moved his company into a 15000+ sq/ft facility in Kenosha, Wisconsin that increases capacity immensely. With rapid development, Urb's Finest Flowers flagship brand under Lifted Made has captured and grown market share greatly as a nationally recognized brand and is actively moving to take over the Cannabis space.

Nathaniel Gurien Founder and CEO of Fincann has decades of experience working with accountants, bankers, financiers, lenders, and government officials. As an entrepreneur in the legal, regulated cannabis industry, Nathaniel recognized the importance of transparency, compliance, confidentiality, regulation, and client loyalty not only as an individual but for the sake of our fledgling industry and community as it transitioned from black market operations to mainstream. Nathaniel decided to focus on compliant banking payment solutions since they are fundamental to the cannabis space. Since he has joined and been active in many banking trade associations and has forged a deep network in this community.

To enhance his value to both MRBs and financial institutions, Nathaniel became a member of national and local banking compliance trade associations and has completed the American Bankers Association BSA/AML Certificate training programs. Nathanial has also earned the prestigious accreditation of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification, the global gold standard in AML certifications from(ACAMS) Association Of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists® as well as the new CCBP (Certified Cannabis Banking Professional) from CBANK, the banking industry’s leading online national networking, knowledge base, and training center.
