In this episode, we look back fondly at Teekay Offshore as part of our history and wave a teary-eyed goodbye to our friends who will soon to become Altera Infrastructure. 

With the selling of our remaining interest in Teekay Offshore to Brookfield last April 2019, Teekay Offshore legally became a separate entity from Teekay. However, last week's announcement of their new business name signifies the next step in the separation of the two entities. This is the beginning of Altera Infrastructure's future apart from Teekay and marks another step forward for Teekay's strategy of focusing and simplifying our core businesses.

This quarter our learning opportunities are focusing on the theme of Do the Right Thing.  Reminding us to be mindful of how we earn the trust of others and stand up for what we believe in.

Our first “Leadership Edition” podcast features our very own Junie Sotto, Director, Global Finance & Accounting in Manila and her brave journey to step outside her comfort zone.  In this episode, Junie talks about her initial hesitation in applying for her current role, what she's focusing on as a new Director, and some of the influential leaders that have ​inspired her along the way.  We also check-in with Junie's manager Brian Fortier to get his perspective and connect with Claire Booth, author of the Achiever Fever Cure, to unpack more on why Junie hesitated on taking her promotion in the first place.​

In the last episode of the podcast, we were up in the Far North investigating the development and operations of the Yamal LNG project and how Teekay is involved.

Episode 3 brings some more “wow effect.” We clamber back aboard our Arc7 LNG carriers to find out what life at sea is like when the sea is not water, but ice. With commentary from our team of skilled, professional seafarers as they live and work through the “most terrible, most interesting and most exciting time.”
