Fashion People
Puck correspondent Lauren Sherman and a rotating cast of industry insiders take you deep inside what fashion people are really talking about behind the scenes of this multi-trillion-dollar biz, from creative director switcheroos to M&A drama, D.T.C. downfalls, and magazine mishaps. Fashion People is an extension of Line Sheet, Lauren’s private email for Puck, where she tracks what’s happening beyond the press releases in fashion, beauty, and media. New episodes publish twice-weekly, every Tuesday and Friday.
Great guests… let them speak!!
13 sept.
I appreciate the mix of guests and topics on this podcast and I always learn something new about the fashion industry. But please, Lauren, can you let your guests talk? So often you ramble or ask these very leading questions! I’d love for the guests voices to shine a bit more in the interview portions of the show.
Lost opportunity

This podcast presents needed news coverage but proves that writers aren’t always cut out to be on-air talent. Too much ego, too many casually derogatory remarks about “civilians,” and interviewers should not speak more than or over their guests.
Please let Rory talk!

I love idea of this podcast and WANT this podcast to succeed but please will someone ask Lauren to stop talking over guests, answering the questions she asks the guests herself, and giving us a rambling rundown of all her purchases in her entire lifetime apropos of nothing! Great guests, great topics. I’d love for Lauren to be a great host! Latest episode in which Rory Satran is asked a question and 20 minutes later still hasn’t been given room to answer it is unbelievable. WTH?!!
Could be better

I like when she sticks to her newsletters and covers the news but when Lauren goes off on a tangent it gets very distracting and drags on the episode. Also, she tries to sound humble and she claims she’s not not like a fashionista but then talks about how she buys The Row, Chanel, Prada, etc. As a successful professional woman she’s of course entitled to that and can talk about that, but the faux humbleness comes across very disingenuous.
