Masks & Martyrs

This is such an amazing podcast! It has really great music and lovely characters! I always look forward to listening to new episodes and this podcast is often the highlight of my day! (Also I found you via some which wich sandwich bags with a business card for your podcast attached to it. I just thought you might like to know.)

There certainly are a lot of tabletop roleplaying game podcasts out there these days, aren’t there? Scrolling through, it can be pretty hard to get lost among the endless listening choices, but let me suggest you give pause for this one. Masks & Martyrs is a Dungeons & Dragons podcast set in a creative original setting with a fresh and unique take on classical races and their places within their own world, and the diverse characters a delightful from their very first introductions. Even better, their game master, Andew, has a plethora of amusing character voices he gives out to even minor lackies, making each encounter interesting and easy to follow even in the podcast format. The story itself is also intriguing so far, and the world they’ve created is robust, having obviously been lovingly developed over a span of years. Yet, alongside games like The Adventure Zone and Critical Role, a good story and lovely characters I find to be common in most games. What makes Masks & Martyrs stand out for me is how at home it feels. The friendship between each of the players outside of the game is obvious, and even with all the special bells and whistles like original musical scores, carefully crafted descriptions, and mid episode breaks, Masks & Martyrs never loses the warmth of a game shared for fun between friends. Their passion for this project shines through, and even if I haven’t caught up on every episode yet, I’m very excited to see what happens next. So, if you’re looking for something with that classic D&D feel that’s still quite unique, I recommend you give Masks & Martyrs a try, and stick with it. It only gets better as it goes along!

Inspired by many popular podcasts out now, this one really shines! A great group of friends, with interesting characters and a great timing for drama in the storytelling. This is certainly an fledgling podcast, but they quality of their sound editing and story telling is very professional. They also a bunch of nerds. ❤️✨ WILMINGTON REPRESENT 🎉🎉🎉
