Episode 107 “Mid-Table Mediocrity on Merseyside”
Nick is joined by Akash Hebbar & Jéssica Frota (@Je_Frota) to look back on Chelsea’s goalless draw at Anfield. We discuss yet another new arrival in Noni Madueke before looking ahead to on paper a relatively kind set of games.
No questions this week coz Nick wanted to keep the pod shorter & record earlier so he can watch the NFL divisional round matches & mess up his sleep pattern.

Episode 106 “(belated) Félix Navidad”
Nick & is joined by Tom Coley (@tomcoley49) from football.london (@Football_LDN) & Travis Flock (@Crossroads_CFC) to look back at another busy week at Chelsea.
Firstly we discuss the arrival of João Félix, what our initial reaction was and now how we’re feeling about it after his debut at Fulham.
He was the only real bright spot in a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Fulham which is what we reflect upon next with a shambolic defensive display on show and we rue the injury to Denis Zakaria.
Next up the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk is on the agenda with the blues beating Arsenal to his signature.
We then move onto discuss Chelsea’s 11th consecutive premier league victory over Crystal Palace and 12th in all comps. We praise the debut of Benoît Badiashile who looked very assured out there. We heap praise on a more mature Conor Gallagher performance in the centre of the park. Kepa made some crucial saves days after his clanger at Fulham proved costly in defeat as we talk the good and the bad of Kepa and if keeper is a position that needs urgent addressing. Kai Havertz scored the winning goal and we ask if he’s playing for his future given the recent attacking arrivals. Lewis Hall’s recent performances are talked about before praise is added to Jorginho and Hakim Ziyech for their roles in the much needed win.
Finally we answer listener questions on:
-Role of Mudryk
-Whether Mudryk should start at Liverpool
-What did we notice between the two games

Episode 105 “Feeling Blue”
Nick is joined by Jam (@Carefree_Jam) from The Chelsea Social (@TheChelsSocial) to look back on a sad week on & off the pitch for Chelsea.
Firstly we pay tribute to the life of legend Gianluca Vialli who sadly lost his battle with cancer.
We then look back at a spirited display that was ultimately not enough to prevent the blues falling to a 1-0 home defeat to Manchester City in the premier league.
It was more pain at the hands of Manchester City with a third meeting of the season in the FA Cup 3rd round resulting in a spineless 4-0 defeat which we dissect.
Finally we answer questions on:
-Gallagher’s enthusiasm a hinderance?
-Start looking at players being here next season?
-How much has on-field performance dampened positivity on progress made behind scenes?
-How much leniency does Potter get this season?
-Should Potter stick to 4-3-3?
-How many players of squad would you keep next season?
-What you seen so far to be positive for rest of season?
-What has manager done to get benefit of doubt?

Nick joined by Daniel Childs (@SonOfChelsea) to look back at two games against lowly Bournemouth & Nottingham Forest as well as discuss potential new signings.
Firstly we discuss the signing of David Fofana & look ahead to Benoit Badiashile & Enzo Fernández’s seemingly imminent arrivals.
We then look back at Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth with the attack impressing before bemoaning another Reece James injury.
Up next we reflect on the disappointing 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest with the blues outclassed by the relegation threatened side.
Finally we answer listener questions on:
-Lineup for city game
-How many points/games will we win in January?
-What changes would we make to ensure UCL football?
-How many more games and performances do people need to ignore before worrying about the process not working?
-What profile of 9 do we need?

Episode 103 “Trouble on the Tyne”
Nick joined by RJ (@RJ_Goodthings) host of the IFT Pod on YouTube, to look back at two games.
Firstly we look back at Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat at Manchester City & subsequent exit of the Carabao Cup. We praise the performance of Lewis Hall, positives we saw in the game & express some disappointment at Omari Hutchinson being an unused sub.
We then look back at the 1-0 loss at Newcastle with the blues losing three consecutive league games. We give our feelings on the performance which perhaps aren’t as negative as others. We then have a big discussion on Graham Potter & the general state of Chelsea.
*Apologies for no listener questions this week. We recorded right after the game so Nick can watch the world t20 final on Sunday.

Customer Reviews
Proper Chels!
Love it! Keep it up lads! UP THE CHELS!
These hosts are horrible
Listening to the latest pod. These hosts are just xenophobic a holes. Pulisic’s last chance or last chances while others in the forward line don’t do anything. They love work rate merchants who run around and don’t actually do anything. English content creators are honestly so biased.
Great content
Solid podcast. Great content and honest opinions. Good guests. Nick and Jack are awesome
