A Calm, Charming Listen

I can really appreciate a story that moves carefully, where things aren't happening Fast! All the time! The 12:37 is a very relaxing story to listen to, while remaining interesting and engaging! I really love the concept of a time-traveling train and the shady plans of all those who actually know what's going on. I love that we don't learn much more than the protagonist, so we can sit with her in her emotions rather than screaming at the podcast going, "No! Don't do that! Aaaaah!" Marked down one star for the audio quality not being that great. I had significant difficulty understanding parts of it. Someone without a sensory processing disorder may fare better. But it's just a little podcast so far, and I know it can take a while for podcasters to get to the ideal recording setup and methods. ^-^
So good!

I really love this show and can't wait to see where it's going.
I tried really hard to give them credit.

I REALLY wanted to like this. I feel sort of obligated to like every show with LGBTQ+ people (and characters!) in it, and I want to give as much credit as possible because indie audio drama is so hard to make. But this was such a struggle to get through. And there was nothing in particular that offended or put me off, there was nothing content-wise that put me off. It was pretty much everything else, from the bad audio to the detached vibe of the whole show that gave me nothing to hold on to. I'm fine with melancholy and even some detachment, but there's got to be SOMETHING to draw you in, and there's just nothing there.
Meh

Firstly, it’s just really dull. Everything sounds like it’s recorded in a tin can and there’s nothing that marks out any of the places they visit as distinctive, which is usually part of the charm of a show about traveling to different places. On a separate note, for the sake of anyone who cares about science, tuberculosis is caused by bacteria, not viruses. Also antibiotics only work on bacteria, not viruses. I won’t get into the other scientific errors I caught because that’s not the point of this show but I didn’t want people to have these particular misconceptions reinforced by this show.
