Episode #294 - The NHL Conference Finals Preview

Episode #294 - The NHL Conference Finals Preview

The NHL Conference Finals are here!
Before we look forward, we look back at the multiple Game 7's that defined the 2nd round. How did Carl handle the defeat of his Colorado Avalanche? What do the Canucks do with Jacob Markstrom and Thatcher Demko? Should the Flyers make roster changes to fix their funk?
Looking ahead to the finals, will "suffocating" be the key word defining this series? It just might be! Also, will Steven Stamkos ever get a chance to play in a big game?
Ryan Reaves was suspended one game for his hit on Tyler Motte. Did the NHL DoPS finally get one right?
Jake Allen was dealt to the Montreal Canadiens for a 3rd round pick. Why did these teams make this deal? Is it enough for the St. Louis Blues to keep Alex Pietrangelo?

    Episode #293 - The 3-1 Deficit

    Episode #293 - The 3-1 Deficit

The NHL took a stand against racism this week. Eventually. After playing on a day when many leagues boycotted games in support of of Black Lives Matter, the NHL took two days off to make a statement. Did the players and the league do the right thing?
Kasperi Kapanen was traded by the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Which isn't surprising. What Pittsburgh gave up was!
The Arizona Coyotes were punished for illegal training of junior players. Was the penalty too much?
Every series is currently at 3-1. Can any of these teams make it back? Does Boston miss Tuukka Rask more than they'd like to admit or has Tampa just figured it out? What team is the "Better Columbus"? What is wrong with the Colorado Avalanche and why is it Cale Makar's fault?

4th Line is top shelf

Carl and (the always wonderful) Joel are funny, knowledgeable, and great all around guys. Playful banter while dropping hockey knowledge on us every week is fun and so are their contests (win prizes). There isn’t enough room to mention all the greatness of this top notch show. I listen as soon as it downloads every week.
*Update 4/18/20
Nick is great too and since reviews are contributing to Meals on Wheels, I’m updating this one. #reviewsforgood

These guys have great segments, fair (non-know it all) takes on hockey and a fun sense of humor. Worth a listen!
