The Abracast
Occult, History, Conspiracy, Violence. Host, Jon Towers pours a giant drink and tackles topics weekly. Sometimes dark, sometimes mysterious but always entertaining. Jon presents the information in a conversational but edgy tone and struggles to add context and often levity to these examinations of dark magic, the mysteries hidden in dusty old books, forgotten myths, unknown stories of our past, politics and pop-culture and plots from secret organizations and elites. In realms (occultism and Podcasts) dominated by leftists, statists, boot-lickers, new-agers, and other nonsense The Abracast tries to provide a different point of view to these difficult topics.

Absolutely love this show, been a listener for years. Jon you’re a legend. Love the work and research you put into this. I’m glad you say it how it is and in your own valence. To the listener, if you’re one that likes traditional, boring, flavorless podcasts, go elsewhere. If you’re here for an adventure and personality, you’re in the right place. Much love Jon - Brandon

Food for thought, if you want.

Hello Jon! I found your podcast earlier today, in pursuit of tarot content. I have never searched for a podcast on a platform outside of Spotify; At the same time, I have never wanted to genuinely listen to somebody’s content while not being able to sit through it. I love the selection of interest and topics you cover, and I’d love to be able to listen to them. However, I cannot. It’s the mouth and throat sounds for me. I wonder if you have considered spending more time to split & cut your audio into more receivable and listenable clips. More specifically, combing through your audio and cutting out any sounds that the mic picks up that aren’t speaking bits. I understand this may be time consuming at first, but I hear it gets easier and more rewarding as ratings reflect the effort. To boot, I believe many podcasters are even able to hire editors to do it for them, after their success begins to mirror that effort. Heed it or not, this is my two cents: Utilizing a generic ominous music sample in the background while you read could add to the effect you’re trying to achieve in your reading style. Without it, the I feel your claim regarding your narrative tone of colloquial edge misses its mark. Also when reading a sentence, if you experience any sort of, erm, globus faux pas, I would suggest you just reread the whole sentence again without skipping a beat and cut the blooper out afterward in your editing process. To make the process easier, If you clap once, real sharp and loud, after you misspeak or clear your throat, you’ll be able to see in the audio file later what needs attention. Finally, I do want to end on a positive statement, after listening to your earlier content, I want to add I’ve noticed your flow, technique, and narrative confidence HAS come a long way. By refining your audio clip-mastering skills I think you have great potential to become a leader in the eclectic realm of occult and counterculture podcasts. What you have to say is cool and intriguing; And at the end of the day, if podcasting is the way you get to kick back and talk about the things you like — who am I to suggest you do anything at all? Whatever choices you make or don’t make are totally valid either way. Good luck! Well wishes, C.
What did I just listen to?

Tried listening to the first Art of War episode. Good god, what a train wreck. The host tried to read some sections, but between the mispronunciations, slurping a drink and chewing on ice, the occasional burp, and the strange laughing while he talks to himself, it was unlistenable. Hard pass.
