    117. Finding Rest in a Busy Season: Embracing Sabbath, Silence, and the Savior

    117. Finding Rest in a Busy Season: Embracing Sabbath, Silence, and the Savior As the holiday season approaches, many of us feel the relentless pull of busyness and the pressure to stay connected online. But what if this year, we chose something different? In this final episode before my sabbatical, I invite you to reflect on the beauty of rest—true rest that nourishes the soul. Together, we’ll explore what it means to step away from the noise, embrace Sabbath rhythms, and draw closer to Jesus during this sacred time. We’ll unpack scriptures that remind us of God’s gift of rest, like Matthew 11:28-30, where Jesus invites the weary to find rest in Him, and Exodus 20:8-11, where God calls us to honor the Sabbath. I’ll also share practical tips on pulling back from social media, cultivating quiet moments with God, and living in alignment with His peace during this holiday season. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life or simply yearning for deeper intimacy with Jesus, this episode is for you. Let’s learn how to pause, breathe, and be still in the presence of the One who came to bring us peace. Scriptures Mentioned: Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Exodus 20:8-11: “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy...” Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God...” Isaiah 40:31: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength...” Key Takeaways: Why Rest Matters: Rest is a spiritual discipline that renews us and reflects God’s heart for His people. The Role of Sabbath: How honoring the Sabbath allows us to set aside time to connect with God and recalibrate our hearts. Jesus as Our Rest: Practical ways to let go of burdens and find refreshment in Him. Tune in for this heartfelt conversation, and may it inspire you to embrace the rest your soul truly needs this season. PS. Have you grabbed your free Beloved Devotional? 114. 4 Keys to Confidently Share Biblical Truth in a Divided World

    114.  4 Keys to Confidently Share Biblical Truth in a Divided World In today’s episode, we tackle the challenge of confidently sharing biblical truth in a divided culture. Join us as we explore four strategies to help you speak God’s Word with conviction, clarity, and love. We dive deep into how getting rooted in scripture, cultivating a humble heart, communicating with compassion, and living a life that reflects faith can transform the way you share your beliefs. Key Takeaways: Get in God’s Word Daily: Building a foundation in scripture equips you to share truth with authority and confidence. Devotionals and sermons are wonderful supplements, but direct, daily Bible reading is essential. Cultivate Humility and a Teachable Spirit: Confidence should be paired with humility. Approach conversations and scripture with a willingness to learn and admit when you don’t know all the answers. Communicate with Love and Compassion: Biblical truth is powerful, but speaking with empathy and understanding helps you connect meaningfully with others, inviting them to engage. Live Out Your Faith: Actions speak louder than words. When we live what we believe, it builds trust and shows others that we’re committed to living by the gospel. Scripture References: Psalm 119:105 – "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 – "All scripture is breathed out by God..." Proverbs 11:2 – "When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom." Ephesians 4:15 – "Speaking the truth in love..." Romans 8:28 – "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him..." Join Us:Tune in to learn how these four strategies can empower you to share your faith confidently. Let’s grow together as women who boldly and lovingly proclaim God’s Word. Listen now and share with a friend!
