Being the first-born daughter in a typical African household can be challenging. There are often unique expectations and responsibilities placed upon you. You often bear the weight of enormous expectations- from taking on caregiving roles to supporting your family, sometimes, financially.
In this episode, I talk about the impacts of the African firstborn daughter syndrome and some key lessons I have learnt (and am still learning) as a firstborn daughter myself.
