On this episode, I chat with Kelsey Sorenson, creator of Wife Teacher Mommy, about the dreaded Sunday-Scaries. Yup, we’re addressing those pesky, draining feelings that sometimes overtake our weekend as we think, with impending dread, about the week that’s coming. Together, Kelsey and I talk about what triggers the Sunday Scaries, what they mean, and how we can take small actions that make a huge impact in managing the anxiety, overwhelm, and dread that some educators experience on Sunday afternoons. In our conversation, Kelsey doesn’t propose solutions to get rid of the feelings, rather, she reframes Sunday Scaries as an opportunity to listen, learn, and act based on your mental, emotional, and physical reactions.
