Thoroughly engaging for the student of American History. A latecomer, throughout 2022, I listened to all 149 episodes while training for a marathon and during long road trips. My favorite episodes were 2, 6, 15, 20, 53, 56, 62, 73, 81 & 82 as a pair, 86, 95, 132, 136, and 146 with a profound and inspiring Michael Bellesiles on the Reconstruction Amendments.
Awful

An incredibly self-centered host, with questionable research. I’ll leave it at that.
Frustrating

Are there ANY conservatives or even centrists left in academia? Apparently not, or maybe the host has no interest in inviting them on.
Great Podcast

This podcast is an informative and entertaining interview with an author of a recently (usually) published work. I'm an Aerospace Engineer who has read many of the books that Daniel is interviewing so it is very cool to hear the interview and what the author emphasizes. I always learn something! I see the last episode posted is from March 2022, I hope this doesn't mean it is over.
