002: Chris Piascik - @chrispiascik
Our guest for this episode is the incomparably prolific, daily-drawing artist, Chris Piascik. Chris has been an avid politically charged artist for his whole career, and has a body of powerful work, the size of which is simply unmatched. We talk about the consequences of being a strong political voice as an artist, what it’s like to stick to a creative pursuit every day for over a decade, through wildly different political climates, and more.

001: Annica Lydenberg - @dirtybandits
Welcome to the first official episode of the Art of the Democracy, it’s finally here! I’m so thrilled to bring you this conversation today with one of my friends and favorite artists, from Brooklyn, NY — Annica Lydenberg, or as you may know her online, by her studio name and social handle, Dirty Bandits. We get into some really interesting discussion about how your upbringing and your family’s values can have such a strong effect on how easy or difficult it is for you to be a vocal, publicly opinionated artist, and how to think about advocating for all the things you believe in and being a strong ally, for more than just the causes or groups that you yourself may be perfectly representative of.
