Women Warriors: Breast Cancer Was Not Their Death Sentence (Part II)

Women Warriors: Breast Cancer Was Not Their Death Sentence (Part II)

Women Warriors: Breast Cancer Was Not Their Death Sentence (Part II)

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We remember and honor all the women who fought and lost and we celebrate the millions who fought and conquered.

Two brave, courageous women with unwavering faith; Ramona Kies and Sima Hovannessian, each share their unique story of their journey battling breast cancer from its inception to treatment, victory and where they are with it today. We celebrate these brave women and aim to raise awareness about breast cancer and stress the importance about education, prevention, screening, early detection and treatments.

According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer became the most common cancer globally as of 2021, accounting for 12% of all new annual cancer cases worldwide.

Today’s episode is for every woman, mother, daughter and friend. Every woman needs to know the facts. And the fact is, when it comes to breast cancer, every woman is at risk.

Breast cancer screenings can save a woman’s life and mammograms along with consistent monthly breast self-exams are the best way to detect breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat. As we bring awareness to this issue, we’re urging women to make time for their health and to get screened regularly.

Ramona and Sima’s stories exemplify the warrior each woman has within. We are victors, not victims. Each and every single one of us has the same unconquerable spirit we see in these two amazing women. Let us always remember and celebrate that spirit.

From ordinary 9-5 jobs that no longer fulfill purpose and ignite passion, these tenacious female entrepreneurs have made their move: some bold, some strategic and calculated but always with that one common ingredient uniting them all...the LEAP. The leap they all had to take: The Leap of Faith.
Meet Maryam Siahatgar. A young girl who fled warn-torn Iran. Against all odds, destiny and God’s grace granted her a ticket to America which she never took for granted. She came to the U.S. as a refugee and a dream that burned bright.
With sheer hard work, vision and determination, today Maryam is the founder and creative designer of SIA Brands, Inc. Passionate, intuitive and a visionary, Maryam has conceptualized and executed brands for several businesses and is recognized for her success in delivering fully integrated branding experiences.
