The Battle of the Coral sea was the first naval battle fought entirely between aircraft from opposing fleets. The fleets never saw each other and it has led to a change in how naval warfare is conducted even today. Just a few months after the attack on Pearl Harbor and just 1 month before the epic Battle of Midway, this battle was underrated but an extremely important battle in the pacific theater during World War Two.
