Many women believe that the only way to lose weight is to increase their cardiovascular activity. However, cardio alone isn’t the best way to lose weight and tone up.

Strength training is very important to incorporate in a workout routine because not only does it burn calories in the moment, but your body continues to burn calories for up to 48 hours after the strength training is done. If you want to sustain fat loss, increase bone mass and density, or gain muscle tissue, strength training is going to be the key.
