Examining FOUR Popular Arguments for Infant Baptism (Ep 172)
Why is infant baptism a key part of some churches but not others? In this video we look at four arguments for infant baptism put forward by those who hold to covenant theology. These reasons are portrayed in an article written by Zachary Garris: (1) The children of believers were members of the Abrahamic covenant; (2) The new covenant is a renewal of the Abrahamic covenant; (3) Baptism replaced circumcision as the sign of the covenant; and (4) Children born to Christian parents are members of the new covenant. Reformed theologians often will use a form of these arguments in arguing for infant baptism so we evaluate their strength.

Is the New Testament the Key to Understanding the Old Testament? (Ep 167)
What is the relationship between the Old and New Testament? Should Christians hold to New Testament priority? These are important questions as they relate to the field of hermeneutics and Bible reading. In this episode we discuss an article by Tom Hicks promoting the idea of New Testament priority. Best Podcast in my Roster
There are a few podcasts I listen to, but Dr. Goeman is the only podcast I listen to every episode of. For years now, the Musings of a Bible Sojourner has been gracing my ears whenever an episode dropped. Dr. Goeman makes even complex issues approachable, and he has been an introduction for me into several issues and systems. I understand both the Bible and the scholarship that surrounds it far more because of Dr. Goeman’s podcast, and I frequently recommend it to friends looking for something to listen to — especially if they want to get academic and engaging exposure to Scripture.
Careful Answers & Caring Heart
Dr. Goeman has translated so much seminary discussion and cultural debating into an accessible format, approachable tone, and applicable steps of thought and action. We know much and little, but whatever we have been given by God, is to be multiplied back God in dependence and gratitude. Thank you Dr. Goeman for talking about systems of theology, positions in cultures, and controversial matters like what is a woman (all from God’s Word of Wisdom).
Great podcast from world class scholar
Dr. Goeman’s podcast is extremely helpful and accessible. He presents issues from both sides and critiques from a biblical standpoint. I look forward to everyone of his episodes.
