The Bookish Life

This is the bookstore I wish I had around the corner, where I can always find a fellow customer or a bookseller who are chatting about what they’re reading and genuinely just love good stories. I like to stay up-to-date with what is coming out soon so I can curate my reading list. However, I’m easily led astray by pretentious aspirational book recommendations but then I end up not loving what I’m reading. I was drawn in because Sara loved some of the books I have most enjoyed recently and then her guest Blake brought up some more books I love and I was hooked. Just genuine enthusiasm for good books read at a realistic pace shared between friends.

I thoroughly enjoy listening to Sara and Phil, two friends, discuss the books they’re reading and the books that will be coming out in the next week. They don’t necessarily read the same types of books, which makes the selections quite varied. I tend to be Team Phil - and yet when I went to the store I ended up buying two of Sara’s picks instead… I look forward to hearing it every week.
