The Burton Continuum is a nonfiction narrative series that documents the careers of Harrison and Jeb Burton, second-generation cousins trying to excel in NASCAR the way their fathers, Jeff and Ward, did. It provides a candid look into their lives and details the emotional challenges families experience when competing against each other. This is not Jeb Burton versus Harrison Burton. It’s Jeb and Harrison versus the realities of the sport’s cutthroat nature, the pressures of continuing the Burton racing legacy, and the still-palpable remnants of a decades-long family tension.

The story of the Burton family has deep roots in small-town South Boston, Virginia. It’s where we travel to meet Jeb Burton for a brutally honest reflection of his upbringing and racing career. Growing up as the son of NASCAR legend Ward Burton, Jeb’s childhood was bound to be different. Spending his formative years in the driver motorhome lot at race tracks steered his life's direction, while also getting him in trouble. Most racers these days climb behind the wheel at an extremely young age but Jeb started competing later than most, and it’s something that Ward regrets. Once he made it on track, Jeb proved that he shares his family’s racing talents and quickly ascended to NASCAR’s top ranks. However, as quickly as he rose and experienced success, he descended as racing’s cutthroat nature and challenging economic climate set in. The path back to a stable, competitive opportunity wasn’t easy, and shines a light on an under-told story in the NASCAR world of struggle and hardship. This process took an extreme emotional toll on his family, leading them to question everything while facing a grim reality.

Great people
Loved this. Always loved this family. I still remember sitting in the stands in Atlanta asking who the heck is driving that 8 Snickers car and my buddy said Jeff Burton. I said I like that guy. Great careers by both Ward and Jeff and just a great family. You forget about the struggles and sacrifices the rest of the family makes and the pressure that go along with it. Well done!!!

Garbage!
Over produced trash! How many times can we hear the same pre-recorded drops?? No real conversation at all. After playing up the rivalry card for months, you’d think you would have at least one time where the key players might be in the same room at the same time. I guess not!
