I was open minded before listing to the first episode. Kellyanne Conway is an excellent communicator and David Plouffe, while being a brilliant strategist, is overmatched. She took every opportunity to criticize president Biden personally and on policy which is not the stated premise of the show. For example, Plouffe said that President Biden referred to Mr. Trump as stupid in a previous debate. She then said “rude”. She also stated her belief that abortion is wrong and intimated that those who oppose it are murderers. I don’t have a problem with her having that belief, but the podcast is, again, supposed to provide insight on campaigns and strategy. I was hoping for a spirited debate where the candidates weren’t criticized personally or for their policy. This isn’t it.

This show is needed

This show is very much needed in today’s tribal warfare politics. Both hosts speak to the importance of this type of engagement. Looking forward to these episodes. Would love to hear more specific stories and anecdotes from the Obama and Trump campaigns that the two hosts managed.
