    What’s Driving Your Train?

    What’s Driving Your Train?

God gave us emotions but He doesn’t want our emotions to drive the train of our lives. If God’s will for your life is driving the train, your emotions and thoughts will follow. But if your emotions are driving the train, what happens?
In this episode, Candace and Jennie talk about what it looks like to submit your will to Jesus with your day-to-day emotions, taking hold of your emotions, halting your thoughts from spiraling, and the power of speaking your emotions out loud to a trusted community.
Emotions are a gift from God but what you choose to do with them is up to you. Will you allow your emotions to drive your train? Listen to this conversation to hear why submitting your emotions you God’s will is the better choice.

    Listener Question:
Stephanie: How do you deal with someone who you aren’t compatible with but can’t avoid them because you live with them and it seems like the only option right now? What’s a healthy way you would set boundaries without feeling like the bad guy?
Know what is on your side of the road and their side of the road. What can you control within your environment and emotions? You cannot control how healthy another person is, but you can control how healthy you are.
Tune in to hear how Jennie walked through a similar situation + what she did within it.

The Most Feel-Good Pod Out There

Now believe me, you will cry, you will listen to Candace & her Co-hosts talk about hard things, but you will walk away with SO MUCH MORE perspective. I’ve been a listener since season one — I’m on my second trip through the Bible Recap with TLC — and Bianca taught me to see myself as a mother fulfilling my purpose already even though I haven’t given birth to my own baby.

Now Jennie is making emotional growth seem so possible and I cannot wait to start her book! The conversations you two have been having about family and relationships and marriage have helped me have difficult conversations with my mother about our relationship. Now she’s a regular listener too and it’s helping her wade through a difficult season in her marriage too!
