Daily Grace exists to encourage and equip women to seek God in His Word. Our goal is for women to know that deep Bible study, sound doctrine, and rich theology are not just for the seminary student or pastor, but are accessible and transformational for all believers. We want to invite women to join us in our conversation about our great God, and be encouraged to seek a deeper knowledge of God that leads them to live their lives for God glory as they grow in love and awe in response to who He is.
Daily Grace is a weekly podcast brought to you by The Daily Grace Co. and hosted by Joanna Kimbrel and Stefanie Boyles.
Practical Ways to Improve Your Prayer Life
The way to overcome lies about prayer is to go to God’s Word to see what it says about prayer. Lies are debunked by truth found in Scripture! But as we exchange these lies for truth, how can we move forward and live in light of them? In this bonus episode, we offer some practical ways you can improve your prayer life.
Lies About Prayer and How to Overcome Them
I’m bad at praying. It doesn't make a difference. It’s selfish and boring. God doesn’t care about my prayers. I don’t need to pray. These are lies many Christians believe about prayer. Instead of seeing prayer for the gift it is, we feel confused, overwhelmed, and disengaged. Maybe there’s fear, bitterness, and guilt around prayer. The only way to overcome lies is by knowing and applying truth found in Scripture. There can be joy and excitement as we experience intimacy with God through prayer.
Life-Giving Practices for Spiritual Growth
Spiritual disciplines: life-giving or life-sucking? Many of us have feelings of dread when we think about spiritual disciplines. We think about all the things we “have to” or “should do” as believers and then think about all the ways we fail to do those things. We know they’re good for us, but they feel too hard! Our understanding and approach to spiritual disciplines matters a lot. They should be life-giving practices that lead to spiritual growth, true joy, and deepened intimacy with Christ.
Experiencing God through Creation with Hannah Anderson
Do you pay attention to creation? Like the wildflowers and the changing of the seasons. Whether or not we’re nature people, we are called to “consider the lilies of the field”. But why? God is showing us something (without words) in nature that He reveals (with words) in Scripture! He uses both His creation and His Word, to teach us more about who He is. We can experience Him through creation!
Pursuing Real Success
We are all looking for success. The question is: how do you define success? As believers, we can shy away from this topic because we only consider the world’s perception of success being all about power. But the truth is, success is about fulfilling your purpose. As believers, we were created with purpose, so we should strive to be successful! But we want to be careful with how we define and pursue success. How we view success has major implications for our everyday lives so we don’t want to get it wron
Beauty, Body Image, and Fighting Insecurity with Bethany Beal
Physical beauty is something that we think about. For some of us, it takes up more mental real estate than we’d like to admit. In fact, it’s a point of insecurity for us. We’re bombarded with different definitions of beauty; so much so that it can be exhausting! What is truly beautiful? Can the Bible actually help us have a healthy outlook on physical beauty? Can this not be a point of insecurity for us as Christian women? Bethany Beal from Girl Defined Ministries helps us work through this.
Solid gospel conversations for everyday life. I love how every conversation is centered on Christ and continually points to the goal of knowing Him and growing in grace.
