or: A Brief Introduction to All of the John Carpenter Lagniappe We Have to Offer

It’s finally here! A brand new Halloween film … and more importantly – a brand new John Carpenter score! The Dudes review David Gordon Green’s Halloween (the direct sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween that has absolutely nothing to do with Rob Zombie’s Halloween), play Score the Score, and somehow find a way to connect The Lego Batman Movie to Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. PLUS Chris pairs this stylish slasher with a dark and boozy beer doubles down on the sweetness and bite.

We’ve reached the end of an era. MacReady and The Shape (aka Michael Myers.)

If you love rewatching Carpenter films, this is fun

This has been a really fun series to listen to, while rewatching Carpenter’s fantastic filmography. If you have not seen any of these films, do not listen before watching. But-if you love Carpenter and have nobody to talk to about his films, this is like a conversation with your buds who get it. Recommended.
