I’m not in the trust and safety industry, but the discussion is easy to follow and interesting for anyone with an interest in the topic. I particularly appreciate Ben and Mike bringing in several women experts for a non-tech-bro perspective. Thanks for a great podcast.

This is a fun weekly podcast with such interesting discussions. I look forward to the insights Ben and Mike bring to the stories of the week, as I always learn something. They’re both so knowledgeable about trust and safety, and understand the nuances of the industry, which is vital in ensuring their conversations are relevant. Keep up the good work!

Look at that plumber, I can do that. I then spend the next 8 hours on Youtube trying to figure out how to fix my toilet. Everything is like this. It's easy to sit back and judge something like content moderation. It all seems so simple: These folks are good and these other folks are bad. But when you dig into the weeds of it all you find that there is a lot of nuance to consider and nothing is that simple. Ctrl-Alt-Speech helps bring together the topics of trust and safety, free speech, the legal frameworks at play and other issues to give folks a more realistic view of what it takes to actually do content moderation. As you listen you will realize how difficult these decisions are and how often there simply isn't a good answer to a given content moderation question. Mike and Ben provide good commentary, attempt to provide the relevant information, and will often side with people they would not agree with when those people are taking the correct stance on a particular topic.

I appreciate the podcast’s consistently thoughtful analysis, and the consistent coverage of global topics. Some other podcasts on online content moderation are too “musky” with endless stories about X, this one covers more platforms, more countries and more thorny problems that need resolution.
