The Corporate Bartender

The Corporate Bartender

In these crazy days, I felt like we could all use some support, some community, some innovative people-side-of-the-business ideas, and of course, some cocktails. What started as a response to COVID19 has evolved into something much more meaningful. It's become an amazing group of people leaders from various industries who have come together as the world is changing to share ideas, some best practices, to learn from our mistakes, and build connection with others who are facing similar issues. We are all about sharing at TCB. We share Learning & Development tools. We share updates to the legal landscape. We talk about issues facing our employees and our leadership teams. We interview innovative People Leaders who have cutting edge ideas. Oh, and we laugh. A lot! I know what you're thinking. What is this thing? Is it another Zoom meeting? Is it a Podcast? Is it a show? What in the world am I getting into? It's all of those things and none of those things. It's a forum for ideas, meeting similar folks, and finding a little bastion of sanity in an exceedingly complex world. It's a breath of fresh air, and a respite from your grueling schedule - where you'll be in great company, and probably take away a few things that you can use at work...and in life each episode. If you are an HR or People Leader in your organization, this is the place for you. You are welcome here!

What's up everyone and welcome to The Corporate Bartender! We're keeping the ball rollin' and cranking out new, awesome TCBs for you as we round the corner into 'the holidays.' As 'people side of the business' people, we're always looking toward the next disaster. This week I go mano a mano with disaster preparedness expert, Patrick Hardy on the program. If Patrick is new to you, we've got your back!   When disaster strikes and biz continuity is on the line, Patrick is the guy you want in your corner! He's got just about every FEMA certification you can imagine, he's got a framework to help you get ready, and he's a hoot to hang out with! He's also the author of, Design Any Disaster - The Revolutionary Blueprint to Master Your Next Crisis or Emergency." Oh, and he's got a YouTube channel where he takes on disaster challenges. You can watch him rescue 230 cats or give CPR for over 20 hours (a world record)! What???? This conversation was a FANTASTIC, we talked some serious shit, and laughed a bunch. You know what I always say, and, yes, I think you're gonna dig it! If you wanna skip straight to the interview, 4:11 is your spot. The Corporate Bartender - Convince Me! with Adele Gambardella and Chip Massey

What's up everyone and welcome to The Corporate Bartender! O. M. G., my friends, mi familia, Bartender Nation, you're not gonna believe it, but this episode is NEXT FREAKING LEVEL! We're talking about forensic listening, body positioning, the 4 (kinda) Ds, convincing people vs manipulating them, and Asbury Jesus, Bruce Springsteen on today's show. We are STOKED to have Adele Gambardella and Chip Massey on the program. Who are these folks? Well, you'll be glad you know when we're done. Adele is a "woman who means business" and has been running her PR firm for over 20 years, she focuses on crisis communication, and just brings the right amount of Jersey to the party! Special Agent Chip Massey is a former FBI Hostage Negotiator, who leverages FBI techniques for everyday workplace use. These two are heavy hitters who bring a unique special sauce to the Bartender.  I can't help myself, we keep having these amazing conversations with these amazing people, and THIS, brothers and sisters, is MY FAVORITE conversation of 2024 thus far! And you know I wouldn't be here if I didn't think that you all are gonna dig it! If you wanna skip straight to the interview, 4:16 is your spot.
