    The Colorado Avalanche are your Stanley Cup Champions, and we say goodbye

    After defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games, the Colorado Avalanche have won the Stanley Cup! It's been a long time coming for a team that's been a favourite over the last few years, but the Avalanche finally got over the hump, with Cale Makar winning the Conn Smythe Trophy. For the Lightning, it's their third straight year in the final, with 46 playoff wins in that stretch, just two shy of the first threepeat since the New York Islanders of the early 1980's.
