Ep 33 | Aaron Burke on the Unfair Advantage, Understanding Life Backwards, and Courageous Decisions

Ep 33 | Aaron Burke on the Unfair Advantage, Understanding Life Backwards, and Courageous Decisions

In our final installment of season three, I got to interview my friend Aaron Burke, lead pastor of Radiant Church in Tampa Bay, FL. Aaron leads a fast-growing multi-site congregation alongside his wife, Katie, and recently released his first book, The Unfair Advantage.

No stranger to setbacks, Aaron’s a firm believer that opportunities are clothed in obstacles. Living with this perspective in mind, he reminds us that we’re all writing a story – it’s up to us whether it’s inspiring. In this episode, Aaron gives a few tips from lived experience and biblical truths about how to play the hand we’re dealt – while keeping the upper hand.

I hope this episode challenges you to view your setbacks as your setups, as you move courageously toward the future.

Ep 32 | John Lindell on the Accumulating Grace of Prayer, Extraordinary Miracles, and Mutli-Generational Leadership

Ep 32 | John Lindell on the Accumulating Grace of Prayer, Extraordinary Miracles, and Mutli-Generational Leadership

In season three, episode nine, I got to sit down for a powerful interview with a new friend of mine, John Lindell, lead pastor of James River Church in Springfield, Missouri. John and his wife Debbie have been leading their church faithfully for over 30 years, the most recent of which have turned out to be extraordinary.

After his most recent bout with cancer, John’s desperation for God’s presence shifted. This catalytic turn in his leadership produced a prayer culture that’s resulted in God’s manifest presence through hundreds of healing miracles.

John’s stewardship of this local body has since taken on a multi-generational approach, as he strategically aims to pass the baton. I hope you’re strengthened by what you hear, as what seems unbelievable to us is possible with God.

Ep 31 | Chris Hodges on Attention Surplus Disorder, Winning Daily, and Avoiding Entropy With Growth

Ep 31 | Chris Hodges on Attention Surplus Disorder, Winning Daily, and Avoiding Entropy With Growth

In season three, episode eight, I got to connect with my pastor on the podcast for the second time, Pastor Chris Hodges, from Church of the Highlands.

With a deep passion for developing leaders, Pastor Chris co founded the church-planting organization ARC, as well as Grow – specializing in training and resourcing pastors around the nation. He is also the founder of Highlands College.

I don’t know anyone who lives more disciplined than PC, which is why to kick off the new year, I picked his brain about how he approaches personal development. I hope this episode inspires you to lay down excuses and pick up habits that help you accomplish all that’s burning within you.

Ep 30 | Andi Andrew on Church in the Wild, Falling Back in Love with Calling, and Braving Change

Ep 30 | Andi Andrew on Church in the Wild, Falling Back in Love with Calling, and Braving Change

In season three, episode seven, I got to connect with Andi Andrew: author, speaker, preacher, and host of the podcast Coffee with Andi. An authentic communicator who’s no stranger to leaps of faith, Andi’s releasing her fourth book in 2024, Braving Change.

Having pastored in New York City for twelve years, Andi knows what it’s like to labor hard and cherish the harvest. Now a teaching pastor at Seacoast in Charleston, South Carolina, she and her husband Paul remain invested in building leaders and the local church.

I hope you’re challenged by Andi’s obedience to God at all costs and are inspired by her humility to do so.  We could all use a little more of that.

Ep 29 | Andrew Gard on the Shadows of Grace, the Language of Culture, and Promoting From Within

Ep 29 | Andrew Gard on the Shadows of Grace, the Language of Culture, and Promoting From Within

In season three, episode six, I had a great conversation with my friend Pastor Andrew Gard of Grace City Church in Central Florida. Andrew and his wife Christina planted in 2015, serving both as senior pastors and founders of Grace City Leadership Institute.

With longevity in ministry and people development, serving the local church and SEU throughout his career, Andrew is a decisive culture builder. He’s a firm believer that it’s not perfection, but a leader’s consistency and character that fuel the mission’s engine.

I hope you find Andrew’s candor refreshing and are inspired to bring crystal clarity to the culture you’re defining.
