On Friday, June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Since then, it's been a barrage of bad news and bleak headlines. But for every restriction, there are many more acts of resistance, and a growing network of activists, clinic workers, faith leaders, and everyday people working to expand access to care.

This is the story of the fight for freedom in a post-Roe America, co-hosted by Samantha Bee and Gloria Riviera. Whether you’re deep in this fight already, or just sick of feeling hopeless, we’re here to tell you: anyone can become a defender.

This series is supported by Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and Levi Strauss Foundation.

They moderate the r/abortion subreddit, a group on Reddit that is dedicated to answering questions about abortion. Not only are they helping people find care – they are ensuring that every question is answered with the truth.

Check out OARS at abortionsquad.org. You can find the abortion subreddit at reddit.com/r/abortion.

So important and well done

Sam and Gloria have gone above and beyond with this very important issue. This podcast is very informative and gives me hope in humanity.

Ok podcast

The show description promised we would hear ways in which we could become defenders, but I’ve listened to every episode and I heard to write my representatives once. That’s it. Well, come on. Put me in touch with real organizations I can work with locally to help women who need help. I feel like I can’t do anything. Thanks for all the information. You’ve succeeded in making me feel worse for not being involved.
Might listen to a couple more episodes. Please tell me something useful!
