Carter's gut tells him that this coin isn't just a clue – it's the key to stopping the murders. So, he goes on a wild goose chase, talking to stuffy professors and shady antique collectors, trying to figure out what the heck this coin is and where it came from. He finally finds the coin's origin - a creepy old mansion owned by a reclusive collector with more than a few skeletons in his closet. Let's just say Carter's "visit" didn't involve tea and biscuits.  A fight breaks out, and in a moment of desperation (and maybe a little bit of crazy), Carter smashes the coin to pieces. You'd think that would be the end of it, right? WRONG! The murders do stop, and Carter is hailed as a hero. But...things start to go very, very wrong for him. His luck turns sour, he's plagued by nightmares, and he just can't shake the feeling that he's made a terrible mistake. Then, the ultimate twist! Carter ends up dead, a victim of a random mugging. But guess what's clutched in his hand? Another coin!
