I am recording remotely at a week-long church retreat with my family. The gift of taking time with my family without the stress of taking time off or my children missing school underscored all the fantastic ways my life has changed since becoming a doctor coach.
While most podcast episodes focus on the technical aspects of coaching, today I want to take a different approach. I want to share the personal transformation I've undergone since I made the life-changing decision to coach full-time. 

Because I decided to become a doctor coach, my life has changed in many positive and empowering ways. I want to share that journey with you from a place of gratitude and inspiration.

From stepping up as the active and present mother my children need to the freedom of owning my time and limitless travel, becoming a doctor coach has awarded me an incredible life. As a child, I perceived God as a genie in a bottle or a distant king. I have always loved God, but until recently, I didn't know him or feel connected to him.
Now, I am experiencing an incredible season of being spirit-led. I want to share my journey to discovering and fostering a deep, intimate relationship with God.


Throughout my life, and especially when I started my business, I knew I couldn't do it alone. I needed God's help but struggled with the trap of self-sufficiency. 


I reflect on pivotal moments that shifted my perspective on how I view, communicate, and connect with God. I went from a cycle of ritualistic motions to desiring a deep, intimate relationship with the Lord. That transformation has profoundly changed every aspect of my life, including being spiritually led in my coaching business.


I share the three ways I allow the Holy Spirit to lead me in my life and coaching business. I hope my message inspires you to embrace an intimate relationship with God and explore the path He is guiding you on.

Why is it triggering for black female entrepreneurs to sell an intangible product? 
There is a distinct discomfort around black women selling brain power and thought leadership services like coaching. Selling a product or physical labor is more accepted, but even that type of entrepreneurship comes with a disclaimer as being a side hustle or weekend job.


There is a prevalent disregard for the value of black female entrepreneurs that is deeply rooted in systemic racism and our role as currency. In the history of the world, innovation has come from black people. But we have an ingrained history of being the workhorses. 


It’s time to normalize exchanging something other than our physical labor.


We need to make that identity shift and embrace being the root of innovation across all communities.
