    20. Decolonized Parenting with Yolanda Williams

On today’s show I have the lovely Yolanda Williams and we spoke about conscious parenting for Black parents. Which I think is so important and needed because many of us are in a space of wanting to break generational trauma and change generational narratives. We spoke about raising liberated leaders, effective communicators, parenting from a place of love instead of fear, releasing control, actively listening to your child and so much more!    About Yolanda Williams Yolanda Williams is a Certified Positive Discipline Coach and Host of the podcast Parenting Decolonized, a show that unpacks how colonization has impacted the black family and teaches parents how to raise liberated black children without breaking their spirits. When she’s not advocating for the safety and liberation of black children from white supremacy and parental oppression, she’s chasing her toddler around the house and trying to remain sane.   In this episode Yolanda talks about:   How to raise liberated Black children How to teach your child to be an effective communicator and advocate for themselves Parenting from a place of love and nourishment instead of fear How children are mirrors and grow up to become what was modeled Why listening to your child is one of the most important things you can do   You can find out more about Yolanda at: https://parentingdecolonized.com @prntgdcolonized facebook.com/parentingdecolonized   Book Mentioned: Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome

    19. Conscious Transformation and Manifestation with Olivia Thompson

On today’s episode I speak with my good friend Olivia Thompson, who is the plug for intuitive readings, understanding the zodiac sign, tarot pulls for the collective and more. Her intuition is on point! She and I talked about some of my favorite subjects, manifestation, how to work with the energy of the new and full moons, how to start your healing journey, and how to begin to become a more conscious individual! This episode is loaded with realness, information, and laughs which is always my type of show! Enjoy! About Olivia Thompson Over the years, I’ve learned that circumstances don’t determine who you are or who you can become. As a child raised in a single parent household, energy healer, and self-love enthusiast, I have definitely learned not to limit, label, or minimize myself. In my ongoing life’s journey, I have learned to be open minded when approaching my relationships, future successes, spirituality, and growing with every step. I enjoy helping people feel beautiful and connected to their higher self, by sharing and growing with them through my experiences, both ongoing and passed.   Inside this episode, Olivia talks about: How to start a journey of conscious healing and transformation. The importance of slowing down and paying attention to our thoughts and behaviors. How The Law of Attraction works in our favor or against us. What we need to do in order to manifest what we want and desire. On this episode I had the pleasure of connecting with the brilliant Tianna Tye on the topic of intentional leadership! This episode was really awesome because we got into the principles of what it takes to be a leader! I know most of the people listening to this show are on their boss shit, and they’re into creating, whether it’s a business or a whole different lifestyle and I loved the pointers Tianna shared about how we can organize ourselves and really embody the type of leadership needed to get us to the next level. It was laight, full of laughter, then transitioned into the deep conversation, which is natural when Cat and I get together.
