The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Marine Corps Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Marine Corps Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation  105 Years of Scout Sniper History is being uncovered by the Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation !  Today I have Tim Parkhurst on the phone, President of the Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation, and I have to say, this interview was super fun and beyond interesting.  The Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation is creating a Memorial to the fallen Scout Snipers from World War I to Present Day.   Unfortunately, this Awesome Sculpture will cost $3 Million Dollars so we need to raise a lot of money.  If you head over the Foundation Website which is linked all over this post, you can see the Sculpture Concept, as well as the thinks to help raise money.  Scout Sniper History !  The Heritage Foundation is also very heavily researching our Scout Sniper History.  Very little is known about USMC Scout Sniper prior to Vietnam.  However we have a robust and organized history going back to World War I, who knew.  Please Help Us Raise $3 Million Dollars for this Sculpture and Memorial, there is an M40 Raffle taking place right now. This one of kind rifle is assembled from parts found that are Vietnam Vintage.  https://scoutsniperheritage.org/scout-sniper-war-memorial-fundraiser/ We have multiple ways to support this project, so find the one that suits you can lets get this built !  Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Training Season is Over

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Training Season is Over  As one door closes another door opens.  With Training Season over, we enter podcast & livestream season.  I want to start off by thanking everyone who attended training with us in 2024. This was a super successful season, we saw the return of Marc Taylor and entry of Chris Way with our classes.  We also had a lot of support and help from Laura during some tough times both recently and in the past. So again thank you to everyone who made it work in 2024.   Ended the season in a couple of locations, we did 2 classes in Ohio then I did a class and a clinic in Virginia finally ending our season in Fort Morgan with an Army Section. Each class had its own unique challenges that in the end, opened my mind to new possibilities.  We tested a lot of variations for classes as well as several tools like using a Starlink system to access the internet on the range.  All these tools will enhance the Hide TV experience which is my end goal.  On top of providing the very best training possible.  With Podcast season starting up, expect at least 2 episodes a week and at least one of them to be simulcast live on Hide TV.  These will have lesson, guest speakers and more. Hide TV is moving forward, we are super happy with the progress and the reception.  To all from US,   Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thank for interacting and being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.  Lowlight

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Hunter Diagnostic

Hey Everyday Fan, Chris and Frank today on the show talking about the Hunter Diagnostic we developed for guys to use prior to hunting season.  Extend your limits or just know your limits when it comes to taking game.  The Hunter Diagnostic can be found on Sniper's Hide in the Articles and breaks down the method to test.   Here is a bit of the Test:  Step 1: Paper at 100 Yards Shooting Positions and Sequence Perform the diagnostic from the three most likely positions you anticipate using during the hunt with the same equipment and ammunition. Follow a build-and-break sequence for each shot to simulate hunting conditions. Sequence:Build and Break Shots: Shoot from the three most likely positions you anticipate using during the hunt—three shots each, totaling 12 shots. Measuring Group Size at 100 Yards 1. Shoot a Group of 12 Shots: Perform the sequence of 12 build-and-break shots described above at 100 yards, ensuring shots are equally distributed across the three most likely positions you anticipate using during the hunt.2. Measure the Widest Shot: Measure the distance in mils from the center to the farthest shot in each position’s group. This measurement is your group size.3. Record the Group Size: Note this value as your group size in the shot bracket calculation worksheet. Give us some feedback, new season, Fall of 2024 has just started  Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the everyday sniper podcast
