We speak about Kate’s mindfully botanical workshop she’s recently started, which is where I met Kate. Kate speaks about the importance of switching off, and making a conscious effort to remove technology from your life for parts of the day, to reconnect with those around you and yourself. On podcast #8 I speak with Tim Roberts. Tim is a coach, motivational speaker, husband and father. Tim speaks openly about being diagnosed with depression last year. Tim’s openness, and honesty about how he felt durning this time is both inspiring and moving and I hope will help others to speak openly about their experiences of mental health too. Tim talked about his story and mental health durning Mental health Awareness week last year in Manchester, to help raise awareness. It’s people like Tim who are able to share their stories with us that are helping make a difference. Tim speaks about how journalling had a positive impact on his mental health, and gave him clarity on how he was feeling. An exercise he recommends people try. The more we speak about mental health, the more we will break down the stigmas and fight against suicidal thoughts.

On podcast #7 I speak with my boss, Adam kara. Adam is an entrepreneur, a mentor, a husband and father… and a fantastic boss. Adam told his mate in the playground at the age of 15 he was going to become a millionaire when he was in his 30’s, a day before his 35th birthday he sold his business Learning Hero’s and become a millionaire, his next goal.. to become a billionaire. We speak about the good and bad sides of being an entrepreneur, and running your own business. Adam speaks openly about the struggles he’s faced and how he sometimes hits the self-destruct button when things get too much. We talk self-help books and the lessons he’s teaching his children to help shape them into the individuals they’re becoming. I’ll forever be grateful for having a boss like Adam. For the lessons I’m learning, the skills I’m developing and the person I’m becoming is down to the opportunities Adam has given me.

We talk about Zac taking part in a charity boxing match, where he trained for 8 weeks before fighting, all to raise money for Cancer research, and we talk about how to keep positive, and why you should put yourself in situations which make you feel fear. Zac has always been someone who says yes to most things, we talk about how rewarding this can be and how it gets you closer to achieving the things you want in life. Zac mantra is to set goals. Having something to aim for, and knowing what you need to do to get there will give you the motivation to get up and work hard each day. Lauren talks about how she uses meditation to be present, and to focus on the positive things in life. We talk about opening up about your emotions and how important it is to tell people if you're in a bad place. Lauren speaks about an exercise she did that really helped her - it involved writing down the things you want to let go of, for examples bad habits/her relationship wth food then you setting the list on fire.
